Its not that much of an issue, more fps is good. just wonder why or how i can make it like that perm.

My config if it helps…. http://paste2.org/p/1757992

Also i think i noticed it seemd to change it from directx98 to directx70

There is no dx7 mode in the OB engine.

As for why this happens, two words: deferred processing.

Fail to see how this helps answer my Q? I if that is the case why does ur cfg not have this? why does this only become active when i change form 0 to 8 on the antialiasing.

Did u watch the vid?

AnimaL

when will u learn to use timedemo?

when will u learn to use timedemo?

Say what? : demo playing. (cp_obscure_remake_b3_red_rup)
117117 frames 448.693 seconds 261.02 fps ( 3.83 ms/f) 47.456 fps variability After change the settings up.

Same demo without changing from 0 to 8.
demo playing.
117117 frames 511.303 seconds 229.06 fps ( 4.37 ms/f) 53.473

So i do get less FPS, however when i up the setting i get more?

However i still dont think anyone has answered my Q, what setting makes things duller, and give me an fps boost?

Its not rocket science, but i was right i do get more fps when i increase the setting, but why? maybe stop chatting shit and answer if u know the answer.

All i want to know is why, this change makes things look duller, the uber not shiney and but gives me more fps….. (What command does this?) mat_specular?

FPS differance… 31.95 Variation differance… 6.017

The question you just asked is like asking “if a better CPU gives you more FPS, why does your config not have one included”?

Stimpy

maybe that is the answer… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deferred_lighting would certainly make sense now i have read.
