I got a new Monitor today (the one stated in the title) Its a 3D monitor so in theory is should run at 120hz. In the Nvidia control settings it wont let me go past 60hz. Was hoping someone with a bit more technical know how could help me out.
Just because it supports 3D doesn’t mean you can run it @ 120HZ.

According to: http://www.gadgetreviewspecs.com/2011/09/acer-gr235h-3d-monitor.html
It uses Film-type Patterned Retarder, which for all I know means that it displays at 60hz and the glasses make sure your right eye can only see the pixels meant for your right eye.
Just incase anyone else get this monitor or anything else. The best i can get out of it, by messing around with the Nvidia CP is 77hz. Not quite 120hz but you know.
I really hope this was given to you by a friend or something, as it would have been insanely stupid to buy a monitor without looking it up…
