Hey Guys ;)

What are the best settings for the Tray tool to get the best Performance on Tf2 ?

My PC is not the best, so i try to get the best FPS for my system.

and another question is:

Can i get better FPS, if i turn the resolution down ?

thx =]

Humby

use Chris fps config
use GameBoost (will close unnecessary processes)
close Skype, Opera/Firefox and etc
set hl2.exe priority to the Highest (Task Manager, right click, Priority)
set your steam status as offline (you obviously wont get any messages)

here you are, high performance.

Has nothing to do with the topic…

High LOD + others set to high performance :D

AnimaL

you shouldnt use ati try tools to increase performance

only reason to use that app is to lod hack

also you can get better fps by lowering res only if ur gpu is heavily underpowered, aka its shitty laptop version card or really cheap pc card

Humby prolly said all u need to do to get highest performance out of ur comp… i can only add – use “disable desktop composition” on hl2.exe if ur on w7

Where can i do this setting ?

thx for the informations ;)

AnimaL

steam folder> steamapps> username> team fortress 2 > hl2.exe> properties

u can launch hl2 exe on high priority with launch option -high (if it causes mouse lag, remove it)

cube

no ;)

i mean that : “disable desktop composition”

thx

I did. You didn’t once mention resolution or ATI Tray Tools which the 2 questions were about.
