hl2.exe stopped working when pressing tab

really nothing more to say, game just shuts down when i press tab. deleted hud already, didnt change anything. any suggestions? :/
only the usual stuff, re-install tf2, delete clientregistry.blob, delete hud (i know you said that already), may want to back up your existing cfg and deleting it just to see if that helps… hmm what else, no i guess thats it from me. gl
EDIT: oh maybe reset your key bindings to default.. you never know.. gl gl

I’ve fixed it by using -windowed and -noborder.
correction u meant tabbing applications err win no border as suggested =/?

no i actually meant the scoreboard. deleted cfgs and stuff, dleted clientregistry, checked integrity the usual stuff. i cant remember doing anything that could cause this.

Try running TF2 immediately after running that without putting your configs/hud/etc back in, just run it immediately afterwards.
Does it still happen?
tf2 crashes as well whenever i press tab
deleting every cfg hud and whatnot + chris link worked for me
