Game has been crashing a lot

Am hoping that someone can help me with this issue.

During the last few days TF2 started crashing a huge alot, always when entering a server. The error is “A instrução no “0x14c4b532” fez referência a memoria no “0x16434254”. A memória não pôde ser “read”.” The message is in Portuguese.

The background information on my Computer and TF2 are:

E8400 + HD5770 and no config at all besides a few commands that i run. Medium-Max graphics (though i used to be able to run the game on utter max a month ago)

if my portuguese is right it sounds like you got a problem with your memory.
try to run memtest to check it.
probs with any other games progs?

And no, haven’t had any problem at all.

Strange thing is, i made a backup of my CFG folder and then deleted the folder, ran the game for it to do a new CFG folder, exited the game, deleted the new folder and extracted the old CFG Backup folder, game ran perfect, but after exiting the game and entering about 3-4 times it’s now crashing again.

Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced Tab -> Press settings in the performance box -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory box -> Change
And change it to something bigger that it currently is. Should be on System drive and pretty big. I have mine @ 3070 MB.

ur swap size should not exceed 3x the amount of ur ram

I have 3,50 Ram how much should i put on Minimum and Maximum ?

Currently i have 5500 for Minimum and 6000 for Maximum

Can this thing increase fps performance on tf2?

Not sure, what it might do is allow you to run more applications at the same time without it taking FPSs off TF2.
Anyway, is anyone able to help me ? I have 3,50 gb of ram, what is the options i should put ?
