When I am playing games after about 30 mins my screen turns off and goes into power save mode, I can hear a slowed down version of the audio.

It doesn’t happen in TF2, which is one of the games I play in windowed mode, it also doesn’t happen for LoL. I have already changed all my power settings, so the screen should never go into sleep mode.

didnt know power saving mode runs audio at slower speed

check your display-settings. my display provided a feature via the OSD to turn off automatically when inactive(I do not mean the os-wide settings like powermanagement). It doesn’t seem to work when using a DVI->VGA adapter.

Never affected my sound tho.

No luck, although the audio might be just weird due to certain drivers or something. It is weird it doesn’t happen in all games.

this happens to me every so often, but solely with Mass Effect. Running it in a window seems to fix it, but an understanding of why it’s even happening in the first place would be lovely.

Drivers? Update, rollback, w/e..

Just set ME2 into windowed mode, same thing happened. About 20 mins I would guess, maybe 30, my computer goes into power save mode.
