‘So i got a intellimouse 1.1 this morning and cant overclock the polling rate to 500hz, i followed this guide: http://mebpage.net/pollingrate/ multiple times and with the mouse in diffrent usb ports and still its at 125hz. Any one who has Windows 7 64 bit and have overclocked their usb ports please can you tell me how you did it?
(as you will know this mouse is a piece of shit for gaming at 125hz- especially for low sens)
cheers.’

you will definitly become pro if you overclock it to over9000
After you’ve signed the file in /system32/drivers, navigate to the file (hidusbf.sys) and copy/paste it to /syswow64/drivers. Since you already did the previous steps earlier, you should just be able to now restart your pc for it to work (assuming you’re using a legit version of windows where test mode is working i.e. watermark in lower right of screen). If test mode is not working, buy windows… if it is and you still have 125hz, start again but add in my step.
noobs, everywhere i look! D:

this is what im doing:
1. Download Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider from this link.
2. Download HIDUSBF (attached below as hidusbf.zip).
3. Run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider and choose Enable Test Mode.
4. Extract HIDUSBF to some folder, right click on HIDUSBF.inf and choose Install.
5. Run Setup.exe from HIDUSBF’s folder, check the Filter on Device box and select your desired sample rate.
6. Run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider again, choose Sign a System file and insert full path to the installed HIDUSBF.sys file (For example: C:WindowsSystem32DriversHIDUSBF.sys).
6A. copy hidusbf.sys to syswow64drivers
7. Restart your computer and enjoy.
8. Verify by using Mouse Rate or DirectInput Mouse Rate (attached below as mouserate.exe and dimr.exe)
9. If you would like to remove the test mode watermark, run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider and choose Watermark removal.
when i restart the mouse dosnt work in its usb port but if i plug it into a diffrent one it does but still at 125hz…
lol then that just means ur mouse cant handle the refresh rate u put in

I had this, could mean you’re doing a step wrong or it doesn’t work for your mouse.
You need to restart after you have enabled test mode, then do the setup with the mouse.

64 bit to make use of all your ram
included on the DRIVER folder of the hidusbf thingo is a folder called amd64- and inside is another hidusbf.sys file- should that be the one that goes in the sys64wowdrivers folder?
Also there is a SX64.exe- what does this do- cheers
