This seems to be quite a common problem, I’m wondering if anyone out there knows a fix.

Basically, POV demos playback in a weird stuttering way after recording them. If I send a demo to someone else, they can play it back fine. If I die, and am speccing someone else on my team while waiting to respawn, it is also perfectly smooth.

I experience this on both my shitty dx81 running laptop and my brand new 955/6850 desktop, and can’t figure out a way to solve it. The only common thing between the two computers is use of Chris’s configs, but I’m not sure what settings in that would cause such strange behaviour.

There’s a long-standing thread on OZfortress with several other people suffering from the same issue. Anybody who could offer some reasoned insight would be very appreciated… right now it’s impossible to review demos.
