Is it possible to remove the Medicbeam in PLDX or Lawena?
Pretty annoying to see a red healbeam while smoothing :/
iirc you have to remove the particle.

viewmodel_fov 0 ?

he means the beam itself and not the medigun.
afaik, r_drawviewmodel 0 removes the model of the medigun, whereas viewmodel_fov 0 removes the particle(and the model)
for example:
r_drawviewmodel 0; viewmodel_fov 0 on pyro – you get no weapon model and no fire from the flamethrower when you shoot
the same goes for medic

You can’t viewmodel_fov 0 in demos. There is a command I think it’s viewmodel_fov_demo something like that and it goes from 54 to 70, can’t put it to 0 and think you can’t change the fov in demos with viewmodel_fov. You have to use skins.

Thats exactly what I tried: viewmodel_fov 0
But that doesnt seem to work in the rec. tools for some reason…

uncheck the lock viewmodel option in the tool.

did that.
r_drawviewmodel 0 works but then its just the medi gun model which is gone not the healbeam.
theres a bunch of textures in like /materials/effects or something, called like glow, beam etc
open them in photoshop (with vtf edit) and make them black, then play the demo and they shouldn’t appear. if youve got kritz theres an electricity one as well.
