.wldcrd!

Nice setup, but personally I’d say:

Drop the overclock from the shop and do it yourself, you have an H70 on the processor, it’ll run nice and frosty, just spend some time doing the overclock properly, it’s easy once you’ve done your research (which frankly isn’t hard for that cpu, maybe even mobo too)

Drop the PSU down to 600W or so, 850 is overkill for the setup

Consider a different hard drive, nice drive, but loud, you won’t notice the sata 3 connectivity on a mechanical drive as they’re not fast enough (at least, as far as I’m aware), you can get something only a negligible amount slower, for less money, and with more space

1TB Spinpoint F3, way to go.

Oh, and the 2GB video card may be pointless, not sure, consider a 1GB card possibly

No need to get the Sabertooth mobo I don’t think, but don’t know what to recommend in place of it, do some research mebbe

Oh, and don’t be paying too much for that, you could get one of the latest i5 2500K processors and a similar spec’d machine for… possibly the same price, taking a quick glance at what the retailers are doing with old stock, depends if that’s prebuilt or not though, build it yourself!

eureka

Well, the choice to go with nehalem would only really make sense if you were looking at doing quad crossfire/sli. With a single gpu I’m slightly puzzled at the choice to go for nehalem over sandy bridge.

As for the question, I don’t see usb3 making any difference. The primary issue with usb input for mouse use is the polling rate, which is set by the motherboard/mouse.

Also if in doubt, just try it out for yourself?
