As my shit XFX GeForce 9500GT burned down, i had to get a card fast, so i bought a low end ASUS GT520 Silent with the 1GB DDR3 memory. Its a fanless card, with a huge ass radiator thingie – http://www.legitreviews.com/images/news/2011/asus-gt520.jpg

The question – I know how my old card handled temps, but i dont know shit about fanless cards. I also know that video card gpu can handle higher temps then a cpu, but is this a normal temperature while im running tf? Pic – http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/aaaqm.jpg/

bit warm, but if that’s the max while you’re running tf then there’s nothing to worry about really.

Pyle

GT 520 = 102 Maximum GPU Temperature (in C)

ah thanks.
49C was when tf2 was idling. just played some dm and it went up to 62-65C

Pyle

Next time: install rivatuner -> set TJMAX @ 90 C.

Would have saved your previous videocard :)

what happens when it reaches 90C?
Been testing this card, measuring temps while playing dm. Max i`ve reached is 68C. Thats isnt that bad is it?

Pyle

No thats not bad :)

When you reach 90 C ( I think it’s when you pass 90 C for a short amount of time but I’m not sure ) it automatically shuts down.
