Call your provider and ask them to monitor your line. Sounds like its unstable. I highly doubt it is something at your side and I doubt it’s your modem/router.

I had a problem identical to yours some time ago, i cant remember what fixed it, i think it was buying a new router, but im a total mong with internets and computers in general, but mine used to spike to 300 as well, and in quake it showed as the connection was lost and regained constantly :)

(this doesnt do any use, i just want to assure you that you arent the only one)

My advice. Wait a couple days. If it isnt better within that time frame, and restarting your router doesnt help, call your isp. Posting on etf2l forums going “INTERNET BEING GAY” after getting a couple ping spikes in the afternoon is a little retarded.

anyways, called my isp, they said some shit (restart your modem;pc), I shouted on them and they’ve found the problem in my line, they’ve fixed it, hopefully..
