so, the problem kinda started yesterday. everything was fine at daytime, but at the evening it went horrible, slow generally. next morning (today) I tried to play a mix or w/e, my ping went huge, well not really, but around ~300, wich is unplayable. I watched my net_graph, loss and choke went unormall. Also my steam community went on and off when it wants, mumble is disconnecting and connecting whenever it wants.
i’m going to do some research at google, see what I can do, any help would do no harm :)
reinstalled windows 2 weeks ago

go to windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open with notepadadd this line:
192.71.238.76 hl2master.steampowered.comthen open cmd (from start>run or whatever)
ipconfig /release
well, ive been told its because of the internet is basicly being over populated, and running out of ip addresses.
Basicly, its when the americans wake up. All the routing goes to hell, and nothing can keep up.

I have the same problem, and I know companies having trouble aswell, with unstable connections.

sure, apply a solution for some random problem without knowing whether it’s the cause…while you’re at it, put some vaseline on it.
this also doesn’t have a thing to do with ipv4
could be your router or a problem with your isp
also: kinda the wrong forum, not enough info (“internet” + “windows” is a “little” vague).

No.
Well yes, but it isn’t even remotely relevant to your routing problems. I suggest you do a little more reading on the issue, it doesn’t affect routing.
edit: Actually that post sounds like I’m being a dick. I’m not, I’m just saying it doesn’t mean what you think it means.

you clearly don’t know what this does since you are recommending something completely irrelevant

please explain to me how the fuck americans waking up and using the internet would exactly ruin our routing.
or you could also have some nice software on your PC that causes the spikes. Also, Steam DID have problems yesterday ( http://store.steampowered.com/stats lolp) so that’s nothing to worry about

oh nigguh pls
if you are not even going to offer support, why do you show up in these threads?
just because you and skyrider dont know the inner workings and repercussion of ip exhaustion doesnt mean you should force your derisory nonsense on others.

“derisory nonsense”, derisory of course meaning “inadequately small”
so you’re saying we speak an inadequately small amount of nonsense? thanks!
just because you don’t know the inner workings and repercussions of the english language, doesn’t mean you should force your poor vocabulary on others.

mostly to point out that you are fucktarded
you may also want to remind yourself what areas i specialise in before you part your asscheeks and open your thesaurus to try and sound knowledgeable again

Big surprise. Please throw sand at each other elsewhere, and stay on topic.
so just tried to play a pickup…
shit went down. I was disconnected from the server, mumble, steam and Irc.
after 5 minutes of playing, ping went high again..
I speced my modem and one light wich says ‘online’ went off so thats probally my problem or my isp’s.
After I requested I sub I went to spec, to watch my ping for the whole match, it was around ~65 ( wich is normal for me ) but sometimes spiked to 150+.
