Steam download speeds

formatted pc eariler today, reinstall stuff and steam just doesnt want to download faster than 50kb/s http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9042950/steamerror.jpg. Have never had problems with steam download speeds before normally it always caps out my connection at roughly 1mb/s, have tried several different download locations and forwarding a few ports + dmz
Try changing your download region, mine is Central Europe currently and I get up to 2MB download speeds.
NL, Sweden are good too.
Also, I find during big updates where it is super slow that even downloading from Japan or South Korea is good.
Just found out Central Europe isn’t on the list :/ Just use NL or something.

Ukraine always gives me the best speeds when it gets clogged up with heavy traffic after a big update.

did any big updates come out today? and tbh even when a big update is out i find that it still goes faster than 50kb/s :<
Is it just steam? Have you tried downloading a similarly large file using torrentz or anything to see if it’s a problem with your net?

josh try taping your wires up. i think they may be leaking data.
