Just set your microphone as your default recording device:

No clue if what extreal says works, but here’s how to do it in XP:

Configuration panel -> Sounds and audio devices -> Audio (tab) -> Middle area “recording”.

Only got the dutch version here (i be at work!) but it will look the same: http://i53.tinypic.com/2jfd7vm.jpg

I’ve already tried to help wai with this a few days ago, and I’ve even gone to Chris to ask him, but with no results :p

Bad tekkers.

Just thought of something; Find the volume control window (if you have a sound icon in your system tray you can double click that, if not you can find it through config panel -> sounds and audio devices -> volume (tab) -> advanced (button in the middle of the window somewhere)).

Now, in the new window that pops up (not sure what its called in english atm, guessing ‘volume control’? will look like a bunch of sliders next to eachother):
– options -> properties -> select the ‘recording’ radio button -> deselect the checkbox for rear output

All this should really do is stop it displaying in your sound mixer, and probably hasn’t any effect besides that at all, but just desperate guesswork..
