Just came home, I seem to be unable to launch steam.
It gives me the screen for the username and pw, after entering those and pressing enter the screen disappears, but nothing happens. Cant launch any games, the little steam icon is not visible next to the clock.
The strangest thing is that steam is active in the task manager.
Tried deleting the .blob file, did not help!
Any suggestions?

actually had the exact same prob today lol
just killed it in task manager and restarted it –> worked fine again

Edit: rebooting, restaring steam and deleting clientregistry.blob did not work for me

EDIT 2: i started steam without autologin to friends and it worked

Same for me, I guess it’s a steam problem rather than your PC.
