i3 – 2 cores
i5 – 4 cores
both are strong enough for tf2, but looking in future or even atm at games like GTA or BFBC2, you need 4 core cpu to have decent fps…

decided i will take the 5750 coz i wouldn`t see the diffrence anyway (running 1280×1024)
Will stick with my current psu as 440 WATT is enough to run my gpu
Can`t pick the processor though. I was looking at i5-750 is it good enough?EDIT:
i3-550 is kind of a champ atm, would it be strong enough for tf2?
i5 750 is what ive got runs at stock clock speed. on chris moreframes/ highest frames cant remember which is the worst one, but its that 1 i used :D with my £60 ati4850 i can easily see 300fps stable at 1920×1200
dx9 frames never drops below 130fps run it capped now at 120
Remembering how old and shit my gfx card is and I can still get a decent 80fps stable with maxed out. I think that the i5 750 is a phenomenal choice :D
i cannot see why you would need to spend more than this for a TF2 gaming rig :P
