I seriously dont understand technology. We live in 2010, and the GPU’s are big as fuck these days, I mean, is that really necessary. As the chips have shrinken to 40nm and 32 nm, whats the point?
Motherfucking idiots. Its like we are builing a car, but a FUCKING PC!
But on topic: make sure u buy a at least 750 watt power supply, causes pc’s today drain more power than 2 washing-machine, yes its true, and NL is fucked when global warming comes, im just saying
Turn your computer off at night!
Prevent me from drowning in 2020
Seems like a noble cause? D:
I rarely keep my pc on, except when I use it, so my suggestion to dutch ppl is to smoke all the weed they can, before they end upp in a fucking pool of water :)
Rather sell the weed and buy Zwitzerland

My i7 rig uses about 450 watts on full load. My G5 is sitting around 300 ish.
It all depends what you’re planning to do with your pc, really. If you have 15 dvd drives and 30 graphics cards, that’s when wattage begins to matter. A power supply’s quality (ability to supply stable current) is the most important factor here (and, apparently, its weight http://www.directron.com/psu.html )
if u buy anything above 500w with that gpu ur an idiot
also, yes 5770 is worth 30e more and what is more worth is buying gtx 460 for 45e more and having high end gaming rig instead of mid range (make sure u get psu with 2xpci-e)

No can do. I require at least 10 3dmark runthroughs daily to not freeze to death.
ps we have polar bears roaming the streets here.

I built this:
Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H
Intel® Core™ i5 660 3.33 Ghz
Kingston PC3-12800 “HyperX” KIT 4096 MB
Club 3D Radeon HD 5670 (5770 would cost 30 eur more, worth it?)
Would cost me 470 eur
If i`d take 8gb ram and 5770 it would cost 570 eur
just with the 5770 it would cost 520 eur which i think i will take considering that i can just buy another set of 4gb ram later when I get some spare cash, right?
decided i will take the 5750 coz i wouldn`t see the diffrence anyway (running 1280×1024)
Will stick with my current psu as 440 WATT is enough to run my gpu
Can`t pick the processor though. I was looking at i5-750 is it good enough?
EDIT:
i3-550 is kind of a champ atm, would it be strong enough for tf2?
