Yo. When I try to start TF2 through the PLDX tool I get this fairly huge error –
“Cannot create a file when that file already exists.”
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I’ve tried searching the forums, updated my .net framework to 4.0 and I do not have a file called Play anywhere in my /tf directory. I changed my tf/ folder to read only and then took it off again, neither had any effect. I literally have no idea what to do now, please help :D
I had this too but it was fixed when I reinstalled TF2.. so far it’s the only ‘fix’ that I can think of..
Don’t use pldx.
Hm, ok. I tried starting it today and it decided to create a play directory… renamed it play1 and TF2 started. Ty for help anyway :p
