It also says the steam servers are currently to busy handle my request. All started right after the update came out hopefully its just a bug that will be fixed during the update;-)

u gotta use ntfs instead of fat32, some gcf is over 4GB
had the same shit. solution:
your harddrive is in FAT32 format, which can only handle filesizes up to 4 gigabyte.
because of the last update, the team fortress 2 content.gcf reached 4.2 gig.
-> convert to NTFS and it´s all good.

how?
save everything important to another harddrive from the one you´re converting (e.g. demos, configs, pr0n), because there might be data loss. usually there isn´t, I had no problems, but just to be sure. then:
start -> run -> cmd
chkdsk (harddrive-letter here): /R
convert (harddrive-letter here): /FS:NTFS

seriously do NOT do what was just posted, i don’t know if you’re trolling or you just don’t know what the fuck you’re doing, but seriously, advising people to do a convert in situations like this is fucking retarded
I´m not an expert on this, I must admit, but I did the exact thing I just posted myself, and it actually worked perfectly.
The same thing is suggested in the steam forums:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1541072
I´ve no clue what should be so wrong with that, feel free to teach me or provide a better solution….
