I’ve recently installed Windows XP again due to my computer being a pile of shit and me needing a reformat.
When I try to open TF2, no matter what I do, if -novid isn’t in the launch options, all it does is open in a tiny resolution with windowed noborder, play the starter video, then minimize and quit. If I leave it, that’s what happens, but if I start typing elsewhere or something, it doesn’t play the rest and it just minimizes and closes instantly.

If I DO have -novid on, then it just doesn’t open anything but the border around my avatar on steam community goes green for a little bit, then goes away.

[removed picture because it didn’t take a pic of the 500x500ish video]

I’ve tried deleting the ‘team fortress 2’ folder, but it just rebuilds itself and does the same.
I’ve tried using -autoconfig but it just does the same thing.

It still closes, it just doesn’t open the video.

Tried cleaning your steam cloud then reinstalling it?

so that it wont automaticly go to the configurations it had before you reformated your computer.

i had that when going from Vista to W7,

Steve

reinstalling after reinstalling on different ‘platform’ does work

I’ve only just installed it dude…
Also I got it working by finding some good drivers, but now my PC won’t go to 1600×1200, when I could do that on w7 and I could do that earlier.
