Random Large Updates...

So at i40 I had a 2 gig update to download when I got there that nobody else needed…now last nite after playing a few games I was going to turn off my pc but noticed that tf2 had started to update, this time its a mere 1.8gig yet i asked a few other people and they dont have thisl.
Any ideas?
I had this problem on friday, while everyone else was trying to get connected/playing I was downloading 3 gigs of TF2 at 50kbps… I don’t have any idea what caused but all I did was get someone to put the TF2 content files on a usb and copied them over.
