Launch options for Tf2

re-installed windows, i open tf2 it runs in a small box and once the loading is done the box closes before i can see the tf2 menu, i know its something to do with my resulotion but i cant remeber how to fix it, would like to get this fixed tonight as my clan plays tonight

I got this bug when I did not have my external LCD plugged in and was using my laptop screen.
With -w 1280 -h 800 (for example) in your launch options you can adjust your resolution.
tried updating gfx card and directx. i’ve had a few games in the past that seem to randomly close and then updating those seems to magically fix it.
i once had it with tf2 & css but i don’t recall how i fixed it. maybe it was the above, i forget.
also get it done so u can play tonight :D

I had the problem at i40, just update your graphics card drivers :)

assuming you use nvidia gfx card
just select your type etc etc and just download, its has an autoinstaller,
then you have to restart your pc and voila, updated.
same can be done for ati on the ATI site
yeah was jsut on that website, i cant find what my graphics card is though :S

That should auto-detect your card and driver version. If it doesn’t work first time, hit refresh.
under the dropdown menus theres a second option,
auto detect nvidia graphics card drivers,
do that
