Not solution at all. I’m running XP and have same problems plus I randomly get 60+ choke.
I’ve got exact the same problem. I got my cousin’s old computer, which is actually way better than my old one, but somehow I’m lagging like a retard, even with highfps config. And yes, my old pc was XP and this one is vista, but is there no other way to fix this without running XP or 7 ?
i had the same problem with lag. i reformatted and set all my settings 2 high. even 8x mssa and 16x anti a. runs like a dream. turns out it was mores config that was lagging me! tf2 in full graphics is sexy!
i think there is an issue with the latest TF2 build… thats not to say this is the problem your having, but when we played last night, several people had random lag spikes, but i had no issues, and the people having the spikes were from diff countries or diff isp’s. so maybe it will get fixed as a few days after valve identify any problems
