DA!

Hello mates,

Its been 2 days that I’ve weird and annoying lags in-game.
My game doesn’t freeze, its just lags which don’t allow me to aim correctly…
I reinstalled the game twice, ran it with Windows XP compatibility, removed Chris’ FPS config, ran the game in full screen. I did a lot of things, and i’m still having problems.

My OS is Vista, but before when i was on Vista, I hadn’t at all taht kind of lags.
I’ve a decent computer (2GB Ram, HD 4890, Intel Core 2 Duo E6420), and i’ve Chris’ config to be able to have a lot of FPS.
That kind of problem is really annoying, because i can’t aim at all : if I want to do a 180°, the computer makes me do a 360°. So it’s impossible for me to play Scout at all.
I’m listening and i’ll test every solution you can say to resolve my problem.

Hope you’ll help me.
Knuck.

No it is not.

all down to the fact if u think 40fps is enough i guess

Solution: Get XP.

Seriously, the performance degredation from XP to Vista is substantial, and Valve seem to kill the FPS in this game with every update.

I don’t want to influence what you think, but I guess i’m lagging since the previous update.
Because sometimes i’ve to rebooot my comp 15 times to be able to play without any lag or things like that whereas sometimes one rebooting is enough for me to be able to play perfectly.
So I don’t want to do, keep saying things to help, I’ll test and answer all of your questions.
Thanks everyboyd for the current help. :)

Where can I get a free copy of XP, I heard that we could get XP by retrograding from Vista down to XP, without having to spend money ?

I think that option was only with OEM distribution and it ended years ago.

So I’ve to spend money to get XP ?

If you want to do it, I guess so. It’s not like XP is expensive nowadays anyway.

Shouldn’t have bought a computer with Vista in the first place :P

Honestly when I bought the computer I didn’t care about Vista or XP. But now I should have thought about that :P.

Are there any risk for me to change OS ?
