Wrong steam id- NEED HELP

My friend accidently entered the wrong steam id, becuase his was eight digits and it didnt work when he entered it, so he deleted two digits. How can he change it? And if he cant, does he need to make a new account? Thanks
Go into #etf2l on IRC and type !admin. :)
