Changed myself to War Arranger when Iʻm the only admin!

Yes, yes this sounds stupid.

I was a member of an inactive group and figured Iʻd start my own, I created it while a member of the other so it said that it wouldnʻt add me by default when the group was created.

After I made the group, I could not find a way for the life of me to add myself as a player, so I tried doing it via the drop down. I added myself as war arranger, and instead of adding me to the group/team (whatever), it has now changed me to that.

So now I cannot edit my group, there are no members in it yet, and Iʻm worse off than when I started.

What would be fantastic, is if an admin or something, could change me back to admin, add me to the players (or tell me how), and help me out of this mess asap!

Thanks for your help.

P.S. if you guys direct me to the IRC as many have, could you tell me how to get into that?

Either what DIce said, or: What is the name of the new team you created?

sounds like he’s going into the team section to try to remove him from the old team instead of his profile. =]

No no no. I thought I made it clear(ish) :)

I WAS a member of a group, but didnʻt realize you had to remove yourself first otherwise it doesnʻt add you automatically. After creating the group, I managed to leave the original group via the method you said above, but assumed all adding was somewhere in the team content.

So by this point I was not in a team at all, just the admin of the new group. I then spent ages figuring out how to add myself to the team, and using the add player option, tried adding myself as a War Arranger. Figuring it may actually add me as a player under that title.

However, it changed me from the Leader to the War Arranger. This means I am no longer able to administrate the group, and with myself being the only person attached to it, Iʻm a little stuck.

Also where do I put said IRC information? I have no clue where any of that is, and a mini step by step would be greatly appreciated. Something simple along the lines of:

Enter in this box

Hit okay

Thanks!

if you still want to contact them via irc…

download mIRC http://www.mirc.com i think, or just search it on google.

install the program, enter a few details like name you want to use etc, ok everything and then you’ve got the main chat window with a bit you type in for chat at the bottom. in that bottom bit, type…

/server irc.quakenet.org

press enter, and it’ll connect you to quakenet but not chat rooms. if you picked the same name as someone currently connected, it’ll ask you to change it, as no two people can have the same name, but u don’t need to register, it’s like first come first serve.

to join etf2l’s chat room, type once fully connected, type…

/join #ETF2L

to join any channel, use the “/join” command followed by the name of the room. All room’s start “#” and are unique. Check a few clan profiles on this website, you’ll see different channels for contacting players etc.

once in the channel, you’ll see a list of people down the side. people with a @ in front of their name are admins of the channel. you can double click their names to PM them, but that won’t win you any friends or get you quick answers, as alot of people will probably be afk or gaming, or whatever. Instead type in chat….

!admin

doing this will act as a beeper for admins and make a noise on their computer to tell them you want help. you’ll also be PMed, telling you to hang tight until an admin is available to help you. Once someone responds, talk to them, and your sorted.

Benjamuffin I’ve added you as a leader so you should be able to add people now.

Thank you SO much. I really appreciate that, especially considering the amount of new members and issues that will have arisen based upon that.

Also, thanks Negash for that guide, Iʻve copied it for future reference need I need help again. Youʻve all been very helpful :).
