Since one of the most recent mini updates my tf2 has become very unstable on any of the newer maps. The origonal stock maps and badlands are ok and i dont crash that often, yet any of the new maps like freight ile crash upto 3 times in a match and in goldrush i’ll crash in around 20 seconds of joining the server.

In 6 vs 6 if im ubered or hit by a crit im also very likely to crash.

I have no problems in any other games I can play apb with no crashs in four hour sessions, counter strike and other source games are not affected, I use the games default hud the only none native tf2 program i use is the demo recorder, but since im crashing in pubs when the demo recorders not active i dont thinks its responsible.

Rig specs

I7 920 processor
Radeon 5870 1 gig dx 11 graphics card
6 gig of corsair ram

things ive tried

1, Validating and defragging tf2

2, Unistalling and reinstalling

3, Turning the graphics effects down

whats autoconfig?

Does that wipe clean all of your configs that you may have used?

i.e. soldier.cfg etc

Well not sure what its done but i can now play goldrush again! thanks for the help :)
