got 5000 ping in mirc

i have no idea why but everytime i log into the mirc recently i’ve got like 5000 ping…

No, I’m serious, use a a quakenet server not on the other side of the planet, what one are you connecting to at the moment?
edit: so your 226k ping? Thats called a timeout, if your ping to quakenet is higher than 30k (or pretty much any IRC network for that matter), you’ve timed out. A timeout is when your ping is above a certain amount that makes it effectively useless.

i never had this kind of ping…. :|
im always connecting to a random quakenet uk server… always had like 70 ping =
