I’ve been having lag in-game since a reformatted, I think it has something to do with the orange vertical lines on my net_graph anyone know what they are?

Those orange bars are visual representations of extrapolation (which you should ideally not get). It usually means you are missing updates to interpolate from.

This could be because you have cl_updaterate at 100 and your cl_cmdrate at 101, TF2, unlike CSS, is 66 tick. Your network settings look like they were made for CSS.

Try these:

cl_cmdrate “66”
cl_interp “0.0152”
cl_interp_ratio “1”
cl_lagcompensation “1”
cl_pred_optimize “2”
cl_smooth “0”
cl_smoothtime “0.01”
cl_updaterate “66”
rate “60000”

Just been playing then and the lag is much worse in big fights, on middle for example. Isn’t there some windows 7 hotfix?

I’lll give those settings ago.

AnimaL

windows hotfix is in case u experience ping spike during times when cpu usage goes to 100%, for instance – middle fights
