Serious PC Issue

Non-tf2 related, sorry.
While uninstalling useless software off my parents PC I rebooted it.
I got an error message in the start up saying “NTLDR is missing”
I eventually sorted this error by inserting the windows XP disk and doing a system recovery.
When booting after this recovery I logged in and got a flurry of error messages and no start bar or icons, just background.
Error Messages:
roxwatch.exe application error
RIMAutoUpdate.exe – Ordinal Not Found
DesktopManager: DesktopManager.exe – Entry Point Not Found
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Windows Defender: Application Failed to Initialise
Something to do with the programs I deleted?
probably has to do with it :P
what you can try (if that still works :P) is to restore the system to the way it was before, should always function.
Run C:WINDOWS/system32/Restore/rstrui.exe and choose to restore the pc to the way it was before you uninstalled the stuff. If you dont get a start menu, use the run command in the task manager.
Alternatively, you may try to use the windows cd and choose the restore option from there (cant find the tutorial right now, try #1 first :P)

As stated in OP, already tried your 2nd suggestion.
When trying to run that rstrui.exe using run, the process appears but not the program itself.
Also, when using run, everytime I start to type I get an error message:
taskmgr.exe – Entry Point Not Found
The procedure engtry point Decode Pointer could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
All I did was uninstall things such as World of Warcraft, DoD:S etc…..
Windows reinstall was always FTW :)
So, NTLDR is NTLoader try to take the recovery console (F10 or into the disk recovery) ( dunno the name in english sorry ) and type fixboot if not work try to type fixmbr.
Or if you’ve got another computer under XP copy boot.ini NTLDR & NTDetect put in CD and type copy ntldr c:

If you’re getting error messages about NTLDR and about entry points, then something is drastically wrong with your system files.
Try running sfc /scannow.
