TS3 vs Mumble

I’m interested in what the community’s opinion of TS3 is, and how it compares to Mumble.
For me, I found Mumble to have a little less latency (but not by much) and I prefer having the overlay.
From what I see, it looks alright. But all I really see is a lot of gimmicky features (except for the file transfer thing) that don’t really detract from the fact that the voice quality and latency on teamspeak is absolutely awful.
Just seems to be a recurring theme with everything except Mumble i’m seeing, adding gimmick features and bloat that is. Shockvoice was a swiss army knife and now TS3 seems to do just as much stuff. But at the end of the day, the way I see it is that you are using it for voice comms, nothing else. If you want to send a file, theres MSN/FTP to a website/megaupload/rapidshare, so why give that functionality to another program?
We’ve been using TS3 since its release, and I think it’s quite the same, although I miss the overlay :(
There was a time when TS3 was long long waited but now with mumble it doesn’t seem to be worth the effort to change. Haven’t tried myself however.
Mumble wins because it’s free to host and you don’t need a license ;)
I like TS3 though, latency is about the same and it looks nice.

Got anything on playing Dark Sun in Win95 compared to Dos3.11 too? I really want to know how that works out.
Mumble wins becauseof great quality, latency, easy of use and the genious game overlay. I even got it working in Quake Live. Good stuff.
For me, I have yet to connect to a vent/TS server and find everyone on the server clearly audible and at reasonable volume. Some people even manage to sound really unclear and at deafening volume (hi Vlad :P).
tl;dr: from my experiences mumble is millions of miles ahead in everything.
is actually really cool, same quality as mumble and better confing capabilities both for server and client then mumble

Lol, the delay in TS or Ventrilo is a joke. With that delay a spy can decloak, stab the medic and get away before anyone can even hear the warnings..
Mumble is the only serious option here.

Mumble 1.1.8 is made of win.
Our mgo sayed on the day when TS3 was relased: “Do you want TS3? I hope not cause the client version was crashing 8 times in 10 minutes and the server version 2 times in 10 Minutes. But still if you want that Ppiece of shit you can get a server.”
What a joke i think even ingame voice is much better than TS3
