Alright, maybe i’m a newb, but i am finding this game insanely difficult. I played crysis on maximum difficulty and struggled through the entire thing, i play almost all games on the hardest difficulty, but this doesn’t have a difficulty setting, and people on borderlands forums are calling this game easy as pie.

I’m almost to the point where i’ll have to give up or cheat because it’s THAT hard. I’m level 14, mordecai, i have a sniper rifle with 60 damage/96 accuracy/bla bla.

Latest example of how hard this is:
I come across these extra hard guys who are shirtless, they just walk around firing their guns, i have to headshot them with sniper or pistol perhaps 30-40 times (headshot, as in, 30-40 crits) to kill them. I have to do this by hiding very carefully around posts for about 10 minutes whilst i slowly edge them down.

I just did the quest where i had to go and get the mine key (normal difficulty, requirement level is lower than my level). The last boss in there, i had to glitch him and shoot him in the head with 72 sniper bullets (my maximum carrying capacity) and over 150 pistol bullets. If i hadn’t glitched him out, i couldn’t have done the fight. Every time he hit me, he took me down to about 20hp from 110 shields/275 health.

Getting to the final boss was a mission, took me about 1 hour and 20 minutes. I cleared the base out once (took me 30 mins to get past all the enemies), because i have to backpedal constantly whilst fighting, i walked almost to the entrance, and the last time i did this, all the enemies respawned, so it took me another 30 minutes to get past again, to the boss, where i could glitch him down.

Can anyone tell me what the blue fuck i’m doing wrong? Is my weapon meant to be much higher damage than 60 by the time i’m level 14?

I’m doing all the lowest/easiest quests available to me, and i’m still getting my ass chewed off. Doing the easiest ones take me HOURS, have to get ammunition and health 4 or 5 times.

^ Like i said, before i resort to cheats, does anyone know what i’m doing wrong

There’s absolutely no way i’d be able to do that, he’d kill me in 2 hits, and if he was stood still, meleeing him would have taken about 2 hours of holding my mousebutton down :P

Why on earth are my enemies about 100x stronger than yours?!

Where did you get it from? All the ones i find in crates and such are weaker than the one i have, and the shops don’t have any.

Bloodwing does ~200 damage to an enemy, it’s a lot but it’s millimetres off a healthbar of the enemies i come up against.

Where do you get the weaponry though? Are different vending machines different levels? I can’t find any guns in the one in the first town that are better than the ones i have :(

I never bought a weapon from a vendor,and at my lvl (25,mordecai)i died like 4-5 times in total,only against bosses,so you just need to wait a bit until you don’t find a good weap (becouse you wil,don’t worry).

I’ll give you a tip,don’t use only pistols and sniping weapons!There are a lot of different weapons like shotgun,revolver,smg e others that can be used in different situation,so if you drop something good,USE IT!

This may sound like dumb advice but make sure you’re doing quests within your levelrange +1.
