Problem: Game to desktop

Well since yesterday any game I play will automatically switch to desktop after about 15-20 minute intervals.. the game itself doesnt actually crash as I can just open it back up and carry on with whatever.. but its still a great nuisance? Happening in all games.. tf2, l4d2, mw2 etc.
Anyone have any bright ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Shifty
Edit: I havent actually changed anything on the pc, it just started doing this.

I got so many stupid replies to this, I’m bursting.
I’ll give you just the best four;
– “Game to desktop”? Is that nerd for “ass to mouth”?
– Are you sure you aren’t pressing the windows key?
– Maybe that’s what you had coming for buying MW2
– Have you tried turning it off and on again?
scnr
To try and add something remotely useful, are you sure it’s not something to do with mumble/steam/xfire/whatever overlays?

I actually got the same problem since some days ago.
The time intervals are also the same : 15-20 minutes.
I am however as clueless as you what to do about it.
mine does that, Id say every month or so, I put it down to mIRC – no idea why, but thats the only thing open really….
Funny that you’d mention. I’ve been having the exact same problem recently. It was really annoying while playing MW2, not so much with TF2, because i play that windowed (so it gets re-focused immediately cause i click the window).
Anyway, besides installing MW2, the only thing i changed recently was upgrading mIRC to version 6.35. (I have it along with NNScript.)
As i have mIRC running pretty much all the time, that might be the troublemaker. WIll watch closer.
Did anyone else having this problem recently change their mIRC version?

A friend of mine had the exact problem with his TF2…He doesn’t even have mIRC. He formatted, fine now i guess. Don’t know what the problem was thought :S
Any chance you’ve just upgraded to AVG 9.0?
Heard about something similar and a clean install of AVG is the way to go, apparently.
oh snap. I did do that.
lol A/V… just lol
Yup. Happened to me too. Pretty sure it was AVG. Found out yesterday after liek 5 days of raging.
