Any aspiring "movie-makers" out there?

Level Up TV is a free service that aims to bring you, the community, coverage of the games we enjoy playing (most of the time at a premiership or equivelant level).
In order to keep it as short and sweet as possible, i need either:
a) An aspiring movie-maker who has some experience in using Sony Vegas/Adobe After Effects, or
b) A confident equivelant with a portfolio to bat.
He or she would be working voluntarily with myself in putting together some creative intros (just one initially) for my little coverage team i’ve put together.
We’ve seen a viewer count hit 300 in recent times (the tf2 nc semi-final! gratz guys)

I’ve also enquired about increasing our delay to 90 seconds so that you can have it on in the background if you prefer to watch STV, i will see what they come back to be with.

Is there any way you can improve the stream? Was lagging a lot for me in the nc semi-final and i have an 8mb connex ;[

Shouldn’t be lagging mate, it’s a lot more stable than u-stream and justin.tv (other services)
All i can suggest is not to rape the connection before we go live :P

Using Andrew Kramer tutorials to make an intro for something you are trying to get off the ground and be original and new, would be a bad idea. You don’t have to be an aspiring movie maker for that. You just need to be able to download After Effects, download the Evolution plugin and follow the steps in the tutorial.
Maybe have a competition for the intro and the community votes?
Hence why he asked for “video style” and not “this” – but a competition is a good idea, liking the site in general as well, might give this a go :P
How about we say that if somebody puts together something nice with or without consulting me first, and keeps to the similar colour theme as on my website already, AND ofcourse I like it…
The chosen artist will receive a NEW razer goliathus mouse pad or creative x-fi go USB soundcard provided they can link me to their ETF2L account. Heck, they might even get both if i really like it :)
10-30 Seconds, nothing but the logo and track with fancy graphics! You should try and sync things if possible and be prepared to make minor adjustments to the final product one evening if possible?! HF :)

What about a TV wall in the background with footage from all the games you’ll be covering?
Hope it’s not too late to present my idea, I’ve been procrastinating like hell lately. Anyway, here’s what I was thinking:
The vid starts up with a close-up of a monitor on which is displayed a loading bar…loading up.

The camera slowly backs off to reveal the monitor as the loading bar progresses.
When the loading bar fills up, and the song is about to reach “I see your dirty face….”, the LEVEL logo zooms in from the monitor up to the point when it breaks through the monitor, spinning, smashing the screen, right as the singing begins.
Also along with the logo all sorts of decorative stuff starts pouring from the monitor, like ribbons, particles, flourishy things etc.
The camera follows the logo, gently rotating half/circle around it or something, remains to be seen.

Another idea that I had was the logo exploding from the screen as a cube or something and morphing, with a Transformers-like effect, into the actual logo. Though I don’t think I have enough time to do that now.
So what do you think? All this would take me 3-4 days to finish because I don’t know if I’ll be able to do anything tomorrow since I’ll be quite busy.
