Something wrong with my Canon HF 10 camcorder?

This Monday, I tried to transfer my holiday videos recorded with Canon HF 10 to my laptop, but these videos can not play normally on my laptop. What happened? Something wrong with my camcorder? I just bought it and I do not want to waste my money again.
Is ETF2L really the place for posting about cameras? sure there some better forums you could be asking about this on. like:

If this fails send the camera to me so at least someone can make use of it :)
