I bought a few pc parts to put up a better pc together with my graphic card and my cpu out of my old pc. When the hardware was fully installed and i started my pc all of the fans started to work but @ full speed and that ws it…

The next day i completly uninstalled and re-installed the hardware after that it sounded that it was gonna work but that was not the case. As instead my screen didnt show any image @ all. I’ve double checked everything but still don’t know what the problem is. maybe one of you knows what’s wrong with it.

(it has a clean HD wich has never been used before)

thnx in advance

sounds like you could have done the cpu in, or its just a simple cabling problem?

hard to assess a problem like this on a forum =c

computer specs pls

Rebuild it all completely again? Make sure everythings in right, make sure (if applicable) the second power plug on your graphics card is plugged in etc.

if that doesnt work put the CPU back in your old computer and try it? :S i dunno ^^ Take it to a shop? Pay 50£ for them to say “you plugged it in wrong” :D

if its a sata hdd and an old motherboard you might need to get those drivers installed, check ram

He should get picture anyway.

Always write down what parts you have bought and so on, hard to help if we dont know what parts you are using :)

But check the cables and make sure everything is allright, ask someone to look at it, i’m sure you have som friends that know more :) gl!

I got the same motherboard and it wont accept my 2 2-yearold sticks of ram, so try borrow a friends or something. It does the same thing you just mentioned there where it just doesnt start up and black screen.(bios update doesnt do shit) Kingston HyperX KHX8500D2K2 works fine btw.

Also when you build a computer, start out with just the bare minimum connected to the motherboard. cpu, graphic card and 1 ram stick and nothing else. That minimizes the things that can be faulty or not connected right. You dont need a cd rom drive or hdd’s installed to boot into bios, hell i dont even think you need ram installed.

edit:
oh and if you got a speaker installed to the motherboard it sometimes makes beep sounds, those sounds are codes for what is wrong. Try searching on google for “bios beep codes” and find the ones for your bios.

take it all out, and starting building on a desk (with antistatic bags under components) and build it step by step, testing each time.

Start with mobo, cpu, psu and one stick of ram, should narrow down the problem for you. If theres still no luck switch out the ram and test each slot.

Oh yeah ive noticed that 2 red lights are shining on my graphic card… ive looked it up nd it means that it is 1:overheating (wich is impossible) or EXT 12V fault… i just dont hope this means a new graphic card (what it possible will)
