So here’s the thing: My microphone was working properly its whole life, until yesterday. They told me in mumble that they couldn’t hear me. I thought it was just a random problem. However, after a while, I found out that the mic was picking up the output, such as the music I was listening to and windows sound etc, but not my voice. It’s not just in mumble, also in Audacity or Sound Recorder. I’ve been googling for a time now, and found out that I’m not the only one with that problem. However, I didn’t really find any real solution. I’m using oldschool XP btw :D
After Netsky failed to fix it over teamviewer, I’m calling desperately for help in the community. So, has anyone had the same problem ? Maybe with a super dooper solution? cheers in advance.

edit: oh yeah. Cause I don’t have a second headset, I thought steelseries could send me one so I could try :D:D

Try using the TCP mode in mumble. Preferences->network

Restart Mumble.

Is there a mute button on the microphone itself? Maybe on the cord or something

I think its called stereo mix, just because I’ve never heard of sound mixer before in xp^_^

to turn “stereo mix” off in xp go start/all programes/accessories/entertainment/volume control. This should open a programe with which you can change the many types of volume
etc etc. To check to see if you have sound mixer on, go options tick advanced options and then properties, select your input device and check to see if stereo mix is selected.

Hope this helps
