mumble sound crackles in windows 7

Anyone know a fix to the crackle i’m getting in sound?
The microphone works fine so people have said, and both the sound and mic work fine in vent… leading me to the only conclusion that something is broken @ mumble with sound output… i’ve googled and tried everything.

You weren’t honestly comparing Windows to heaven, were you? :P
mobo sound drivers failed to install, didn’t realise.. so i ran under vista compatibility mode and now it’s all good :)
