To Psp or not to Psp?

Someones offering me a psp slimline 3000 for £60 is it worth it ? :) I gather it probably is, comes with no games but does have a 2gig mem card and its pretty new.
The games look pretty wank for the psp though but i’ve heard you can emulate n64 games and much more, so really my question is, is the psp tres good or a 5 minute wonder gadget?
My gf has a DS so im not really looking for alternatives.
there are plenty of awesome games on the psp including:
– gta liberty city stories
– gta vice city stories
– god of war
– crisis core: final fantasy
– metal gear sold: portable ops
– wipeout
then you got these coming out soon which were announced at e3:
– metal gear solid: peace walker (next game in the franchise, being made by kojima himself – unlike raiden for kids)
– little big planet psp
– gran turismo psp
all of which ive listed have the graphics of the ps2 and look blddy amazing for such a tiny device
so yeh id say go for it for £60, also ebay the games…some really good deals to be had!

As much as i love training my brian and pushing the cutesey pink block into the cutesy pink hole the DS seems more of a girls toy :>. When girls aloud start telling me to buy a ds because you can stroke a puppy with a pen, i kinda turn off.

It has got some very good games and a good screen. PSP screens just sucks. It’s just so blury (30ms lcd panel or something I guess).
And you can go HAJ LEMME SHOW YOU MAH POKEMON to young girls (if thats your thing :P)
The DS has a much larger library of games than the PSP. Even though you will find a lot of games like Petz, Nintendogs and other shitgames for girls, you also have a lot of other games to choose from.
Personally I like the DS because it is able to give me a different experience than any other current console, with original games such as the Ace Attorney and Professor Layton games. It also has more “classic” games such as GTA: Chinatown Wars, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, which I also enjoy. I don’t feel that PSP has anything new to offer me, even though it has a couple of great games.
The PSP is awesome a really useful device, but you have to modify the software if you want to take full advantage of the PSP. So no emulators or tools if you don’t do it :p
3000 series are not fully customisable yet, but there are a few exploits out there for these models that allow you to run emulators and such.
So if you want a PSP, I recommend a lot getting a 1000-series (old “fat” psp), if not possible then a 2000 series (slim) :)

Ye, i have a psp for a year now and i use it quite alot:)
but u didnt improved at psp i can still beat u at pokemon game haha
get an iphone and get the trumpet addon, u talk/blow into the mic and use ur fingers on the screen and it changes the pitch or watever it is, its gr8 :D

psp is awesome! there are quite a few very nice games comming out end of this year, like soul calibur, assasins creed, grand turismo, lil big planet, tekken 6, fat princess. And ofcourse the awesome games that are already out like crisis core: final fantasy, wipeout, god of war, tekken, patapon and many more :P
I used to have a nds, but i didnt like it as much as i like my psp. NDS does have alot more games, but alot of them are crap. Ofcourse it has a few nice games, but i felt most of the games on nds were just minigames.
