Just wondering if anyones done any research into monitors recently and knows what the best 22″ monitors are atm??
any suggestions are welcome :D
you cant go wrong with samsung, but im not really into the recent one and i think its a bit of personal preference, some say these 120 hz are awesome but as i never played with crt i wouldnt notice much difference for myself
thinking of this 1: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164042
its basically the monitor version of my 40″ tv which i love ;D
2233RZ -> 120hz @ 1680*1050 O_O
will sell my fucking 24” iiyama e2407hd asap @ ebay for 150-200€ and get that samsung baby for 300€. 120 hz FUCK YES
2233RZ -> 120hz @ 1680*1050 O_O

£400 on ebuyer :( wee bit too much for a monitor, especially after i just spend £1,200 on a new 40″ :z

that’s about my point, but in the other sense…. is there a WUXGA screen of that size? :(
i never knew what xga vxga wuga whatever actually is
T220… I mean its not got crazy 120hz but its sexy, sexy and god damn sexy. If you insist of fancy shit T220HD? Its a tv aswell with all those ports on the back etc :X
Tempted to save up and buy one of those (maybe 24″ or something) to replace my 19″, give the 19″ to the brother and then game on the 22″ and have the HD one for XBox 360 etc :DD and of course second monitor, but then id probably need a second 4870 to run both monitors well :X
Any 120hz screen rapes every other lcd on the market when it comes to gaming, no exception.

that’s the resolution, and while this one has WSXGA+, (1680×1050), i’d like to have 1920×1200 cause it is made of win :)
It’s true what people say, 120Hz DOES make a monumental difference to game experience. I expected there to be a reasonable improvement from 60Hz to 120Hz and was still surprised at how fking amazingly better it is once I got Samsung 2233RZ.
Scouts for example now seem very smooth and fluid, with seemingly much more predictable motion regardless of how they are moving (spamming strafe + jump etc) and this effect carries through every element of gameplay making everything more intuitive.
Eyestrain for me is far less in my case. I was getting bloodshot eyes regularly using my 60Hz Samsung 206BW and now not even a glimmer of red even after playing say an hour straight of CSS Deathmatch with intense focus on the screen. My eyes actually feel more comfortable, less tired.
No screen tearing and vastly minimized ghosting is a massive plus also. Genuinely by far the most significant difference I’ve witnessed between monitors in my life, since I never really had a high performance CRT that could run at anywhere near 100Hz nevermind 120Hz.
