hey guys :S just need help..
my new monitor will come tomorrow and it’s an Samsung SyncMaster 2233SN..
problem is: VGA ONLY!
my question is: could the quality of my screen be bad on 1920×1080 (it’s an 22″ widescreen) with a nvidia gtx 260 ? :x
thank you <3
Will be fine, I used to use vga cable on my 23″ lacie CRT monitor at full hd res
My experience with vga on 1680×1050 and higher is that its shit compared to dvi. No problem displaying the resolution, but just shit compared to dvi.
Yes Koeitje but you think every monitor is shit compared to your amazing 22″ NEC flatscreen.

20″.
No, but my NEC is also shit on VGA. Same goes for my projector. VGA is just inferior to DVI.

True that its inferior. Wouldn’t say “shit” though.

It will be fine. Not optimal image quality but you won’t notice it that much unless you have a DVI monitor on the side that you compare with.
DVI is better than VGA. period.
Its as simple as that. HOW much better totally totally depends on the monitor. For example. I have a Sony 19″ that looks AWFUL when you use VGA instead of DVI at 1280×1024 but on my 24″ LG monitors, VGA dosen’t look much worse at all than DVI.

Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but unless you have one of ther £1k+ NEC professional panels, then NEC monitors are FUCKING AWFUL, don’t take it personally though. :)

No that isnt the problem, the problem is that you didnt knew what you bought.
The samsung monitors with N behind the typenumber means it only has VGA, if it has a B it would have DVI and VGA. if it was a H it would also feature HDMI next to dvi and vga
