I know ENSL will be ready to hit the ground running, but I am sceptical that competitive NS2 can receive the same level of sponsorship and interest from MGOs etc that TF2 has.

waebi already pointed it out but yeah, tf2’s received almost nothing from sponsorship and interest. there are 250~ teams total registered on ESL’s site, compared to 2500+ for 1.6 and CSS. it’s not an active competitive game and as such there’re maybe.. what, 4 teams in etf2l with “legit” sponsors? there’s been 0 major LANs in euro tf2’s history to my knowledge, and it took a community effort to bring about a reasonable LAN featuring prizes and more than “Fun Tournaments.” tf2 has never gotten sponsorship, good MGOs don’t really care about it… NS2 might suffer the same fate but to be skeptical of the fact that NS2 can’t get 2 decent sponsors to jump into the ring and have 0 LANs over 2 years? it’s pretty easy to achieve that!
