Hey guys, to finish off my course at college i had to hand in an it project. So i spent the last couple weeks knocking up this game. Im supposed to include end user feedback and all that jargon, so if anyone wants to give it a quick razz and post some feedback i’d appreciate it

ok i installed it, took a while to get what to do (coz its late and im stupid) but it’s fun!
a bit hard though imo. but it’s nice

Nicely done, although I still dont know if the buildings to the left are my lifes or if anyone apssing steals one. ;)

– It started at wave5, is that intended?
– Some feedback to the mouseclick would be cool, maybe flash a different color for the crosshair, doesn’t need to be anything fancy
– A visual for the cooldown of the cannon would be nice too. Maybe just a red dot or something, to indicate that the cannon is reloading.
Apart from that it was nice to have some Starcraft action again. :) I wish the tanks were always that strong.

but i would like
* you can use tiles to generate random terrain rather then prepared 1024×768 jpg’s
* obstacles for zerg guys (pathfinding is so amazing)

* cool down on hud
* time left on hud
* some sparkles on ground from machine gun unit
* no uninstall shortcut :(
i ripped the graphics straight out of the .grp’s that were bundled into starcrafts mpq file :) took me a little while to learn how to do it. Pathfinding and such is beyond the scope of my gameplay but its something i will consider for a future project
Unfortunately the gun splashs i intended to include but there isnt, to my knowledge and googling skills, a palette available for starcrafts explosion .grp’s. otherwise they would be in :)
mari4ek: including tilesets from STARCRAFT especially and a random background generator from said tileset is far beyond my timelimit for this project :) . i made those backgrounds from using the starcraft map editor, and taking a screenshot :D much quicker
I could definately make the mousecursor change to the red targeting one though, as suggested. Its all feedback i can use. Thanks lads
