Any Martin Amis novels (e.g. The Zone of Interest)

Ender’s Game series by Orson Scott Card

1984 by George Orwell

Dandere

My favourite fantasy series aside from GoT:
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (Kingkiller Chronicle)
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch (Gentleman Bastards)

If you like Stephen King you might also enjoy reading Lovecraft.

if you like comic fantasy:
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal

MatteX

BMS

“Not before sundown” by Johanna Sinisalo. Read it in finnish a while ago, but should be a good read in english too. It’s a kind of fantasy thriller with a great and um, interesting storyline.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I’ll be checking some of those over the weekend.

I also forgot to mention that I don’t mind if the main protagonist(s?) is a teenager but that would be a lot better if he/she was a young adult or older.

I like a lot of the old classic sci-fi novels

Flowers for Algernon
The Man in the High Castle
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
I Am Legend (a million times better than the terrible Will Smith movie)
etc

I Am Legend

The film wasnt even anything to do with the book, even Blade Runner was closer to the source material.
