it’s ugly as fuck honestly, i even can’t recognize who’s who.

i have it about 2 months and it’s happened after that (i guess): http://teamfortress.tv/thread/21756/prism-hud–clean-tf2/?page=1

Have you used any program that allows you to modify LOD? Maybe for TF2? (nVidia inspector, ati tray tools, radeonpro), because if you have used it for TF2, you should reset your LOD to normal if you want to play other games, since it acts directly on how your GPU renders stuff.

yeah, i’m using radeonpro (not much), but i never had troubles with it.

i’ll try to explain (sorry for my english): usually, to launch RadeonPro i need to run RadeonPro Support service from services and applications. But from some moment (about 2-3 weeks ago i guess) till now this Service launching automatically. Also, i used RadeonPro only once during this month.

So, i mean, previously, RadeonPro settings never affected on other games.

I doubt it has anything to do with the clean TF2 textures thingy, even if you downloaded it theres probably a 0 chance that it would carry over to other games that dont even use the same engine. Check radeonpro/nvidiainspector/whatever you have installed to customize LOD very carefully and try out different settings, most likely it is done by a program like that.

I used to have my CS look like that, it was good and simple looking but at least I had some problems in seeing players who were far away, also if someone was in a place where its really dark because of shadows it gets quite hard to see him.

Looks like you have high texture LOD.
The easiest way to fix it, would be to check, if you have “Texture LOD” setting set to high value in the “Advanced” tab of RadeonPro (Default value is 0).
In case that doesn’t work, you can always change it manually in the registry:
Navigate to “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{your video device id}000\UMD\”.
Create REG_BINARY parameter called LODAdj and set its value to 30 00 2E 00 30 00.

Add games to launch under Radeon pro but put there settings at default. So when you launch TF2, you’ll get your shit graphics that you want and when you want to play real games, if they’ve been added as a launch under Radeon pro they should choose the default graphics whilst they launch.

What is happening is your Radeon Pro, once it launches tf2, forces your graphics settings to be that no matter what you launch. So you just need to add exceptions. It’s not like nvidia where you can set it up for TF2 and then launch tf2, and when you close tf2 it reverts back to default automatically, you have to do it manually yourself.
