On the off chance that any of you guys have had the same issue as me I thought I’d make a thread here. I realised I had never actually played Crono Trigger ever before and decided to download ZSNES and a ROM. It works a dream, except for during fights.
During fights it looks like this:

For anyone lazy and wanting a quick tl;dr during battles the background glitches to fucking shit but everywhere else it’s fine.

Cheers if you have any suggestions!

You tried using a different ROM (for the same game), or even a different Emulator?

konr

The ROM doesn’t seem to have anything wrong with it, and I’m trying a different emulator now.

Falcon0408

Try a DS emulator with the DS version, worked fine for me (on emulator and flashcard).

Maybe you disabled a BG layer. Try hitting the number keys and if anything changes to the better.

you will want to use this instead
Higan

higan claims to be able to run every commercial Super NES title ever released by virtue of cycle-accurate emulation[2] without any known bugs.

Requires a lot of processing power though.
