(x – 2 + 2)/(x-2) > 1
1 + 2/(x-2) > 1
1/(x-2) > 0
“Case 1: x-2>0” following: 1 > 0 which is true.
“Case 2: x-2<0" following: 1 < 0 which is false.
So case 1 must be true (x-2>0 or x > 2).
