Any advices on a desk microphone?

So I am currently using my webcam’s microphone and it’s atrocious so I’m looking for advices on a good desk microphone. I have a gaming headset but no microphone on it because I hate that. I don’t want a professional microphone, I just want something decent in a 0 to 30$ price range (0 to 24€).

Otherwise any cheap desktop mic is fine. I use a £4 speedlink one I bought like 5 years ago.

I used http://www.amazon.co.uk/Compact-Microphone-Google-Windows-Internet/dp/B001MNX9WK/ref=sr_1_8?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1384189860&sr=1-8&keywords=microphone for 2/3 years, had it clipped to my keyboard wire so it sat just in front of me and it was fine but everyone could hear my keyboard quite clearly, so don’t use something like it if you use voice activation.
Just upgraded to a modmic and its awesome, easy to use. Only thing is that the first was a faulty one but the guy sent a replacement straight away free of charge.
