I… I actually would like to try playing TF2 with that thing. A normal gamepad + FPS, no thanks. But this controller actually might be accurate enough! We will see :)
This haptic capability provides a vital channel of information to the player – delivering in-game information about speed, boundaries, thresholds, textures, action confirmations, or any other events about which game designers want players to be aware. It is a higher-bandwidth haptic information channel than exists in any other consumer product that we know of. As a parlour trick they can even play audio waveforms and function as speakers.
This sounds awesome.
lmfao, thats literally just 2 tiny trackpads

Two tiny trackpads powered by GABEN.
I’m probably gonna get one if it’s not super expensive, I don’t see why so many people are shitting the bed over it since all we have is a couple of paragraphs and some pictures.
I see those pads being ripped apart if people play street fighter or ssb on them. They’d better be made out of military grade unobtanium…

Sounds good to me so far.

Most ‘competitive’ players of said fighting games have arcade sticks anyway; only the more casual players will use the Steam Controller thingy. It takes some beating to trash ‘normal’ control sticks and I don’t see how/why these trackpads wouldn’t last just as long.
